Disability examiners want to look at your symptoms individually to rule you out. But it's the combination of all your symptoms that make you disabled. Why do people try to tell you aren't hurting even after having the facts!!
"You shouldn't be alive!" Every examiner tells me before they stamp able. Let me stop taking my meds, so you can see how disabling everything is and die again for the ninth time!!
I am frustrated cause people don't realize I am a medical anomaly. Doctors are always surprised by this. They always try to lump me in with average but I've consistently been in the 99th percentile. I was not supposed to survive all that i did. But i did, and i suffer for it continuously.
I clawed my way back from my worst fear, dying in a vegetative state from the inside out. Nobody believes it when they look at me. The bills never stop when you die, your phone company, bank and mortgage will all ride you into the ground. Just managed to pay off my debt after they all squeezed me for all they could get. Still got medical bills I'm paying for, and still fighting to get acknowledged medically for everything I'm surviving currently.
Some of your friends and loved ones will tell people you're crazy cause they don't understand that you are trying to get your hormones back in order or that you're being overmedicated. Everyone says they want to help, but few really do. Everyone wants proof, but when you give it to them most won't believe it.
We don't believe those in pain in this culture if you look healthy. People want you to be a mess if you're disabled. They want to see the anguish and pain on the outside so they can feel better about themselves. That's not how it works all the time. Some of us walk tall and strong, because we are harder to kill than most!
